PROJECT OPERATIONS ENGINEER
METKA EGN, a utility scale world class solar EPC, is seeking to employ an Electrical or Mechanical engineer for the Operations Team of the Engineering Department, with experience in technical review and procurement of solar (PV) projects.
Technical Review of PV System Design.
Request For Quotations (RFQs) for electrical and mechanical equipment.
Technical Evaluation of Quotations.
Technical Approval of equipment prior to Purchase Order.
Draw up the technical appendices of supplier contracts.
Technical Due Diligence :
Audit/Review of Technical Design and documentation provided by suppliers prior to the approval for manufacture.
Verify that equipment is in line with the technical specifications of owner’s requirements and quality assurance standards.
Work with the Management Team to review all project information provided by the Client and prepare the necessary documentation to be submitted to the Client or his Technical Advisor, throughout the bidding, design, construction and delivery process.
Review, organize and submit equipment documentation, technical design and other contractual documentation to the Technical Advisor of the Client prior to EPC contract (Technical Due Diligence, TDD) and after construction (Provisional Acceptance Certificate, PAC).
Keeping abreast of relevant Legislation and International Standards.
Work with the construction team to handle non-conformities of electromechanical equipment delivered on site.
Master’s degree or Diploma in the field of Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
3-Year experience in PV installations or 5-year experience in electromechanical installations.
Excellent use of spoken and written English language skills.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office.
Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate information clearly, to groups or individuals, verbally or in writing as needed. Demonstrates effective skills such as active listening, presentation skills, writing skills and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent planning and organizational skills. Develops effective and realistic work plans, estimates length and difficulty of projects accurately, sets clear objectives, goals, milestones and measure, ensures optimum use of time and resources at work, overcomes problems and adjusts the plans as and when needed and works in an organized manner to achieve the deadlines. Establishes courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently.

Must have strong analytical skills. The ability to visualize, articulate and solve both complex and uncomplicated problems and concepts and make decisions that are sensible and based on available information.
